Hobbiton & The Mighty Waikato

International Hobbit Day

In September 2017, I was part of the International Hobbit Day Instagram influencer weekend, exploring Hairy Feet, Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton as part of the celebrations. The sunrise at Hobbiton on the second morning was so sensational that one of my images looking out from Bilbo's Bag End hobbit hole from that morning went viral on Instagram and resulted in Royal Caribbean later contacting me to work with them on the launch of the world's largest cruise ship.

Hobbiton Midwinter Feast

In July 2018, I also attended Hobbiton's first ever Midwinter Feast showcasing the event through social media content based around sunset, the feast and astrophotography.

It was a  magical experience seeing this famous place come alive under the twinkling lights on location and beneath NZ's amazing Milky Way towering above.

Royal Caribbean Cruise

Symphony of the Seas

In April 2018, my family and I flew to Barcelona, Spain as guests of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for the official launch and inaugural voyage of the world's largest cruise ship Symphony of the Seas. We spent a week on board the ship cruising the Mediterranean providing social media content and imagery for Royal Caribbean.

Wilderness Motorhomes

In June 2018, I took my father on a 5 day tour of the South Island with Wilderness Motorhomes in their new Cruise 4 motorhome.

We explored a vast area from Mount Cook, through the Lindis and Haast Pass all the way to Lake Matheson in the West Coast providing social media content and imagery from the trip while enjoying the luxury of cruising with NZ's premiere motorhome company.

Whale Watch Kaikoura

In June 2018, I spent a weekend in Kaikoura hosted by Whale Watch Kaikoura experiencing the amazing sperm whales and wildlife up close and exploring the local area.

The beauty of Kaikoura lies  in its extraordinary abundance of sea life and its visually stunning location - nowhere else in New Zealand can you see snowcapped mountains rising directly above the sea.

Waipa Billboards

Waipa Home of Champions Billboards

In October 2017, 11 billboards were erected across the Waipa region showcasing my images with the Waipa brand 'Home of Champions'. Each of these images was displayed on billboards measuring 3.6 metres wide x 1.5 metres high.

Several of these billboards are located on NZ's busiest national roads, State Highway 1 and State Highway 3 south of Hamilton. These images are seen by thousands of people on a daily basis.

I work regularly with Waipa District Council to provide images for their internal use and for special events on an ongoing basis.

Cambridge Billboards

In May 2018, 2 more billboards were erected on the Waikato Expressway (a busy section of NZ's national State Highway 1) specifically advertising Cambridge as a location for people to get off the expressway and visit.

I was commissioned by the Waipa District Council to provide images for these billboards.

Alphra Lavender Farm

Since December 2017, I have worked with Alphra Lavender as their official photographer providing imagery on an ongoing basis for their commercial needs during the summer lavender flowering season which runs from early December to late January.

They also sell my lavender images taken at the farm (prints, canvases, cards and magnets) at their onsite shop.

Rotorua Instagram Trail

In October 2018, I spent a weekend in Rotorua showcasing the local 'Instagram Trail' locations through social media content. Two of my images are on the Instagram Trail map including the featured image on the cover of the pocket-sized map. The map can be picked up at the local i-site in Rotorua or you can find an electronic version to download below.
