Friday 15th May to Sunday 17th May 2020

Friday 2pm
The weekend workshop will kick off at 2pm at Hidden Lake Hotel with drinks and nibbles and an introduction to the workshop plan.

Friday evening
There will be time to capture the autumn colours around Cambridge during golden hour and sunset and after we will dark head out for astrophotography if the skies are clear.

Saturday morning
We will meet at 6am to capture a local sunrise at Lake Karapiro before heading off in search of opportunities to capture Middle-earth scenery at The Blue Spring and then over to the Bay of Plenty. A packed breakfast and lunch will be provided by the hotel.

Saturday afternoon
There will plenty of opportunities to capture the autumn colours at McLaren Falls before visiting the beautiful tiered waterfalls at Kaiate Falls and finishing with a sunset at Mount Maunganui.

Saturday evening
If the skies are clear we will find an astrophotography location on the way home to hone our skills from the previous night's session.

Sunday morning
There are plenty of options for a local sunrise within a short drive so we will pick a location based on group preference before heading back to Hidden Lake Hotel for a session on editing in Lightroom while enjoying a tasty breakfast provided by the hotel.

Sunday 12pm
The workshop officially ends and everyone is free to travel home. You will leave overflowing with a wealth of new knowledge, exhilarated by the weekend experiences and keen to try out all the new techniques and tips you have learned.

BONUS: There will be a selection of Sony cameras and lenses to try out over the weekend, but there is no requirement to shoot with Sony gear to benefit from the workshop.
