Overview

This all-encompassing photography weekend workshop (co-hosted with Rachel Gillespie) will provide you with all the photography skills you need from the minute you pick up your camera to shoot in the outdoors right through to printing your best work. Learn from two of NZ’s top-rated professional photographers over this full immersion weekend designed to help you develop your skills in every area you need to succeed as a landscape photographer.

What you'll experience

We’ll help you learn what’s required to capture an outstanding landscape image from settings to lighting and composition. We’ll also cover best practice processes for successfully managing your image library, how to edit your images to fully realise their raw potential. We'll take you right through to the process of successfully printing your best work and sharing it online, and you'll take home a fine art print of your best image from the weekend.

Your Hosts

Meghan Maloney

I'm a full-time landscape photographer, and my greatest passion is helping you discover your photography potential through photography adventures around New Zealand. Whether it's teaching you the art of capturing beautiful images with the help of filters, helping you to transform your raw images into stunning works of art in Lightroom, learning how to improve your workflow, or simply having a grand adventure together in amazing places, you will come away from my workshops filled with new knowledge and skills, not to mention amazing memories.

When not photographing and educating, I'm a mum to two teenage boys and I spend my time sideline supporting their football endeavours, and finding places to go hiking in NZ's outdoors.

"I have always struggled with my landscape photography, and the workshop delivered by Meghan was extremely beneficial. She helped me to “See “ things, which made composition easier, and she encouraged me to use camera settings that I had not tried before. Meghan went above and beyond in taking us to locations and with her vast knowledge of the area we were able to enjoy some amazing landscape photography. The time spent together was relaxed and comfortable and I felt at ease throughout the two days of learning"

"Thanks, Meghan - the Scent of Summer Lupin workshop was really great. Plenty of time to get out and shoot and just enough of the inside stuff. The organization, accomodation and the whole flow of the workshop went really well. I really appreciated the care you took to make sure we were able to do the things we were interested in. And thanks for persevering with the flight - it was totally worth it. Nga mihi nui.”

"I completed a one day, 1:1 workshop with Meghan recently and loved the day - we visited 3 separate photo locations to cover various photography skills and used the results from these locations for post processing tuition; including topics of photo editing, focus stacking, panorama processing, photoshop layer editing and more, - Meghan's knowledge base is truely impressive. She is professional, provides an unbelievable amount of information, and is easy to interact with - it's a fantastic day and I highly recommend this workshop to anyone wanting to advance their landscape photography skills.
