What past workshop guests say
“Everything was so well organised, and we were always chasing the best light to make the most of every location. Even when winter conditions brought flooding, snow and changing light, Meghan always had a backup plan, and some of those challenging days turned out to be the most rewarding. Meghan was incredibly generous with her knowledge and time throughout the week, and I came home with new skills, a memory card full of photos and even greater enthusiasm for photography.”
GITA, AUSTRALIA
“I’ve been on several workshops with Meghan and the Iceland trip was yet another amazing experience, with fantastic organisation, unforgettable locations and everything taken care of. Meghan adapted our plans to make the most of the weather and the best photography opportunities, so I could simply turn up, leave the logistics to her and focus on photography. The combination of her organisation, amazing locations and fantastic company makes every trip something to look forward to!”
CHARLENE, DUNEDIN
“Meghan’s organisation of our Iceland photography tour was superb, from travel advice and excellent accommodation to scouting locations in advance. One of her greatest strengths is adapting to changing conditions - when cloud thwarted our aurora plans, she changed locations twice until we were rewarded with an incredible two-hour display. Meghan is wonderful to travel with and I cannot recommend her tours highly enough.”

DAY 1: TOKYO
We begin our adventure in one of the world's most exciting cities, photographing everything from the neon-lit streets of Shinjuku and Tokyo's futuristic skyline to the lantern-lined streets and temples of historic Asakusa.
MT FUJI & FUJI FIVE LAKES
No autumn photography journey through Japan would be complete without Mt Fuji. We'll explore a range of locations around the Fuji Five Lakes region, where autumn colour provides a spectacular foreground to Japan's most iconic mountain.
KISO VALLEY
Step back into Japan's Edo period as we explore historic villages surrounded by mountains, forests and pristine rivers. Traditional wooden buildings, inns and historic streets provide a completely different photographic experience.
KYOTO
Japan's cultural heart provides an extraordinary concentration of photographic opportunities. We'll explore colourful temples and shrines, bamboo forest and the thousands of Torii gates at Fushimi Inari, with opportunities to experience Kyoto during the quieter early morning and atmospheric evening hours.
KOYASAN
Journey into the sacred mountain landscape of Koyasan, one of Japan's most important religious destinations and part of a UNESCO World Heritage area. Temples, monasteries and atmospheric forest settings offer another side of Japan to photograph.
WAKAYAMA & NACHI
We'll continue through Wakayama to photograph Seiganto-ji and Nachi Falls, before exploring the coastline and the extraordinary Hashigui-iwa Rocks, whose offshore rock formations provide a dramatic location for sunrise photography.
DAY 10: OSAKA
Our tour concludes with a drop-off in central Osaka during the day, leaving you free to continue your travels in Japan or begin your journey home.
