Overview

Explore and capture the remote beauty of Fiordland by road, sea and air in this ultimate 5-day photography adventure. Based out of Te Anau, we will explore Milford Sound by road, Doubtful Sound by boat and Dusky Sound by air on a special aerial photography helicopter flight, giving you unparalleled photography opportunities over the course of the workshop. Experience towering vertical mountains, cascading waterfalls, alpine lakes, majestic fiords and NZ's wildlife while learning how to create stunning images along the way.

What you'll experience

I'll teach you how to use simple techniques to improve your composition, master your camera's settings and use filters to enhance the images you capture. I'll also help you perfect more advanced techniques such as focus stacking and exposure bracketing to improve your results when photographing challenging landscape and astrophotography scenes. You'll also learn how to get the most from your aerial photography images, and take the potential from your RAW images turning them into images that WOW through the use of both Lightroom and Photoshop. And of course we'll have a ton of fun and adventures along the way too.

Your Host

Meghan Maloney

I'm a full-time landscape photographer, and my greatest passion is helping you discover your photography potential through photography adventures around New Zealand. Whether it's teaching you the art of capturing beautiful images with the help of filters, helping you to transform your raw images into stunning works of art in Lightroom, learning how to improve your workflow, or simply having a grand adventure together in amazing places, you will come away from my workshops filled with new knowledge and skills, not to mention amazing memories.

When not photographing and educating, I'm a mum to two teenage boys and I spend my time sideline supporting their football endeavours, and finding places to go hiking in NZ's outdoors.

“As a photography tutor, you want your tutor to help you out not just with the technical aspects of your camera but also with compositions and even handhold you in areas where you have difficulty, Meghan's workshops are just that!

She creates a safe environment for everyone participating so if you are a beginner who has just picked up photography or someone who has been shooting for a few years and wants to smoothen rough edges.

I would highly recommend her workshops to anyone who is has passion for photography and would like to take it to the next level.”
