WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
Capture Fiordland by road, water & air
Based in Te Anau, we’ll explore one of New Zealand’s most spectacular photographic regions. We’ll photograph dramatic fiords, waterfalls and rivers, alpine landscapes and pristine wilderness. We’ll also travel across Lake Manapouri into remote Doubtful Sound and take to the air on a special aerial photography helicopter flight over Dusky and Doubtful Sound with two remote landings.
With a maximum of just four photographers, there’s plenty of individual tuition both in the field and during post-processing sessions. I’ll help you make the most of whatever Fiordland gives us - from moody rain to and mist to dramatic light and reflections.

Photography Level
Suitable for photographers with basic camera knowledge through to advanced photographers. We cater the learning to your level.
Accommodation & Meals
Four nights’ single room accommodation and breakfasts included. Lunch & dinners are at your own expense.
Fitness & Access
You need to be comfortable walking on gravel tracks while carrying your camera gear, and photographing outdoors in wet/winter conditions.
Essential Gear
Bring camera + wide/tele lenses, a sturdy tripod, wet and winter weather gear, plus a laptop for editing with Lightroom Classic (& ideally Photoshop) installed.
What to Expect
Expect early starts & a changing schedule. We will work around the weather and the best light rather than keeping to a fixed itinerary.
Payment
$4,999 NZD. A deposit of $1,500 NZD is required to secure your place, with the balance due 90 days before the workshop.

I'm a full-time New Zealand landscape photographer and educator with a particular love for our wild and dramatic landscapes. As a Sony Digital Imaging Ambassador and Kase Filters Global Ambassador, I’ve spent years teaching photographers how to get more from their cameras - both in the field and in post-processing.
My workshops are deliberately kept small so I can work individually with each photographer. Rather than simply taking you to great locations, I’ll help you understand why a composition works, how to respond when the light or weather changes, and how to use techniques such as filters, long exposures, bracketing and focus stacking when they will genuinely improve an image.

DAY 1 Queenstown → Te Anau
Meet at Queenstown Airport at 12pm, travel to Te Anau and photograph sunset around Lake Te Anau.DAYS 2–4 Milford, Doubtful & Dusky Sounds
One full day on Doubtful Sound, plus two full days exploring locations on the road to Milford Sound, as well as a morning or afternoon aerial photography flight.DAY 5 Te Anau → Queenstown
Final sunrise shoot followed by return to Queenstown Airport by 1pm.Potential photography locations
